First Glance:

When you are first able to control your character (after the SS Friendship crashes) you find yourself outside of a theater well past its prime, littered with KEEP OUT, NO ADMITTANCE and NOTICE signs, implying the unsafe environment. In the background, there is a stone platform facing your crashed ship, which has a decorative, stone partial ceiling of square heads held up by a number of stone pillars. Between the heads and pillars, there is a rounded off stone trim which comes arround the entirety of the visible parts of the building, which is where the ticket booths and main entrance are located. The rundown, unused ticket booth section is lined with what looks like big shaped pieces of aged bronze, which doubles to support the series of orange lights above the booths, with only a few unlit bulbs. The main entrance has a rounded off, golden sign with illegible orange text on it which is bordered with lights of the same characteristics from the ticket booths. This sign is supported by two light brown pillars (which are more detailed than those mentioned before) with an implied door between them. Above the sign and pillars is a decorative cat with green eyes, grasping the pillars and head resting on the sign.

outside the theater

Stepping Inside:

inside the theater

The inside of the theater is not only littered with trash but also parts of the structure itself, showing yet again how unsafe the place is. Right by the entrance, there is a skeleton sitting against the wall, right under a sepia toned picture of a cat wearing a top hat and holding a cane. Above this picture there is a giant buckled top hat made of stone, with the words DONT PUT IT ON written on it. Surrounding the picture on ground level are two wilted plants, and on the outside reaches of where the plants reach are two separate red banners, which extend toward the edges of the bim of the stone top hat. Just to the right of the rightmost banner is the concessions booth, with bag of popcorn on one end of the counter, and a web on the other end.

After Capture by the... Cats?:

inside prison cell

After exploring the theater and watching another brief cutscene, you spawn in a prison cell, which becomes your new, spawn point for story mode, and cant go outside again until you beat the game. Thankfully this trashed cell is only a small portion of the game, as most of gameplay takes place on front of a crowd of cats on a stage full of deadly traps, which is fun.

stage which you play on

The stage which you play on is comprised of not so discrete blocks, on which traps such as: saws, spikes, laser beams and water pits are placed. Besides from block based traps, there are also AI based traps, such as robots that shoot rockets, flying machines that push you around, and cats that shoot: fire, acid bubbles, grenades, exploding discs, exploding paper airplanes and exploding bomb frogs! The ultimate goal of each level is to gather at least 3 gems and head to the exit, however it is recommended that you gather more that just the minimum requirement, as these gems double as your currency. Other than gems, there is one yarn ball in each level, which can be used to purchase new weapons.
